In all honesty, I had doubts about nutrition programmes; they've always seemed quite a lot of money (especially for a student) and I was unsure whether people could really stick with the results you often see on social media, especially when they're so dramatic and they talk about meal prepping 5x a day and eating nothing but chicken and veg. However, your programme had a relaxed feel from the outset; you took the time to understand my life and what I really wanted to gain and came up with a really manageable set of macros and calories, a helpful plan and a relaxed attitude to how I was going to fit the programme into my life (and you allowed treats too, guilt free!). More than anything, the accountability you offered (I've done mini nutrition programmes where the coach has stopped talking to me for like 2/3 weeks) was what I found most useful. You were consistent in asking for the check in reports on a Monday and I really appreciated little touches like the 'homework' aspect you'd bring up in the group. I enjoyed the level of communication you upheld (including being available on Whatsapp) and that fact you didn't just send me away with a plan. I really enjoyed my summer doing the programme and would really recommend it, especially for people who feel in a rut (like I did) and maybe just need that extra push and accountability for 3 monthsThe results speak for themselves. As someone who has trained in a number of different gyms for the past 12 years and taking up all kinds of different advice on nutrition. This has been the best and easiest 12 weeks I have ever experienced and that’s all down to Tanika and her approach and knowledge and support throughout the last 3 months. Up until I done this I never understood how important eating properly was to your training, but honestly after 12 weeks I am training harder than I ever have before seeing the results both physically and mentally.
Before I started doing the 12 weeks with Tanika my diet was fizzy juice, biscuits, fast food not eating most of the day then binge at night after work or weekends. T’s approach was very smart by doing a weekly habit rather than changing the full diet from start and now I have changed the lot. I feel so much better now and I am looking forward to continuing the next chapter of my nutrition under the guidance of Tanika.And to quote someone in my first session or two - 'it pushes you hard so that you don't have the ability to be thinking about work/home life' which is pretty accurate, and its a nice break.
